Spanish airline AirEuropa is commencing operations in Israel. The company will operate three weekly flights (on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays) on the Tel Aviv-Madrid line at $390 for a tourist class ticket and $1,255 for a business class ticket.

Represented in Israel by TAL Aviation, AirEuropa is also offering connection flights from Madrid to destinations in South America at prices starting at $720 and to Miami in the US at prices starting at $934. The flights will use Boeing 737-800s, and will take off from Ben Gurion Airport at 3:35 pm.

The company emphasizes that its prices include refreshments, food, and beverages. "We expect the inauguration of the line to significantly increase the number of tourists coming to Israel from Spain and South America," said TAL Aviation VP Commercial Nissim Sagis.
