Winter time will continue from October 30 through March 24, when summer time 2017 will begin.

Daylight savings time will end Saturday night October 29/30. At 2 am Sunday morning to be precise - clocks will be pushed back one hour to 1 am. Daylight savings began 220 days ago on March 25. Those forgetting to make the change will find themselves arriving at work an hour early on Sunday morning.

Israel is ending daylight savings time on the same night as Western European countries although the US will end daylight savings time on November 6.

Computers and smartphones will move back one hour automatically providing their settings are adjusted to indicate they are in Israel.

The switch to daylights savings time save tens of millions of shekels a year, through the reduced consumption of electricity, increased productivity, and higher sales during daylight.
