Tue: Banks lead rises

The Tel Aviv 25 rose today, but, on the day the gas agreement was unveiled, energy stocks were mostly weak.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange rose today. The Tel Aviv 25 Index rose 0.45%, to 1,648.8 points; the Tel Aviv 100 Index rose 0.40%, to 1,418.31 points; and the BlueTech Index rose 0.01%, to 359.81 points. The TelBond 20 corporate bond index rose 0.44%, to 314.73points. Turnover totaled NIS 1.43 billion.

On the foreign exchange market, the representative shekel-dollar rate was set 0.82% lower, at NIS 3.769/$, and the representative shekel-euro rate was set 0.17% lower, at NIS 4.2194/€.

Today's most heavily traded stock, Teva, closed flat. Bank Hapoalim rose 1.55%, Bank Leumi rose 0.95%, Bezeq rose 0.45%, and Perrigo fell 0.6%.

Frutarom was today's most notable advancer, rising 4.83%. The company announced its eighth acquisition this year today. Formula Systems rose 3.48%.

On the day the state's agreement with the gas companies was unveiled, Ratio fell 3.35%, Delek Group fell 2.79%, and Avner fell 1.73, but Isramco rose 0.13%..
