Plasan Sasa wins NIS 8m IDF body armor contract

The company will supply thousands of advanced protection vests made of lightweight composite materials.

Plasan Sasa, of Kibbutz Sasa in the western Galilee, announced that it won a contract for the provision of personal armor to the IDF. Under the contract, the company will supply thousands of advanced protection vests made of lightweight composite materials. The project is worth NIS 8 million. The vests will be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2006 and the first quarter of 2007. Plasan also won a previous IDF tender worth NIS 10 million in June of this year, for the supply of 2000 ergonomic personal protection vests.

Plasan Sasa CEO Dan Ziv said, “We are very pleased to have been selected once again for such an important project - evidence of the IDF’s continued confidence in the quality and reliability of our solutions and technology - which will protect soldiers’ lives during their critical missions and enable a higher survival rate in the army.”
