One of the biggest sports events of the year is the Superbowl, which attracts millions of television viewers around the world. An entire industry has grown around the event and handsome profits can be made. One company cashing in is Israeli start-up MobileAccess Ltd., which has developed wireless communications for media coverage within buildings.
MobileAccess will install its Universal Wireless Network at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan, and at the University of Phoenix Stadium, the new home of the Arizona Cardinals, which will host the 2008 Superbowl.
The size of the contract was not disclosed, but market sources estimate it at $2 million.
