The MAD Conference will focus on the latest developments in global telecommunications, media, marketing and advertising. Such developments are of particular relevance for Israel, a country known as an early adopter of advanced technologies and a test bed for the immense changes underway in these fields.

Ying Wang, PwC An Overview of the Chinese Media and Telecom Industries

Ying Wang, Business Development Manager, China Business Group, PwC 

Ying joined the Israeli firm in 2014 as the business development manager of the China Business Group. Ying has extensive experiences in working with both Israeli and Chinese companies. She specializes in providing consulting services to Israeli companies in entering the Chinese market and building productive working relationships and other forms of cooperation with their Chinese counterparts.

Prior to joining PwC Israel, Ying was the project manager of the China Unit at the Israel Export & International Cooperation Institute. In this position, she has helped hundreds of Israeli exporters strategizing on how to enter the Chinese market. In parallel, she has devised strategies, programs and tools to help promote the Israeli industry as a whole to the Chinese business community.

Ying's connection with Israel started in 2007 when she worked as the project assistant for Retalix Ltd. in Beijing.

David Shing, AOL Digital Global Forcasts

David Shing is AOL’s Digital Prophet, regularly speaking at conferences worldwide, discussing the latest trends and the future of the web, providing his insight on the evolving digital landscape and works across the globe to identify new opportunities for the business.

Prior to moving to New York, David was based in London as VP Media & Marketing for AOL Europe. He originally joined the company as their European Marketing Director.

David has spent more than 15 years helping build successful web technology start-ups and multimedia businesses in the US and Australia and is the holder of several Internet technology related patents.

By night he is an accidental songwriter.

Debbie Weinstein, Google

Debbie Weinstein, Managing Director, Brand Solutions & Innovations, EMEA, Google As Director of Brand Solutions & Innovations at Google, Debbie Weinstein leads the company’s efforts across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa to ensure brands & their agencies have the best products and solutions to win the moments that matter to their businesses. Prior to joining Google she was Vice President of Global Media at Unilever, responsible for leading global communications planning, driving digital marketing globally, and leading the company’s global digital partnerships. Her work at Unilever was widely recognized with numerous industry awards, including dozens of Cannes Lions as well as the Game Changer honor from Advertising Women of New York. Earlier in her career, Debbie worked in sales, marketing, strategy and business development at media companies such as Viacom, MTV Networks, and Bolt.com; she founded a children’s food company, Swingset Kitchens; and began her career as an investment banker in Mergers & Acquisitions at Goldman, Sachs & Co. She has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from Brown University. Debbie currently resides in London with her husband and daughter.

Alex Jenkins is the Editor of of the UK award-winning magazine, Contagious.

He is responsible for both Contagious Magazine and Contagious I/O – an intelligence tool providing insights and effectiveness data on marketing innovation. Since joining the company six years ago, his remit has been to help brands and agencies understand and adapt to change in their industry.
